On July 15, 2010 Barrett Police arrested 57 year old Janet Gillies of Cresco after observing her nearly strike a utility pole with her vehicle.
On June 1, Barrett Township Police Department received a omplaint of possible misappropriation of funds from Shepherd's in Monroe County who represent the Oaks, Wysteria Commons and Hawks Nest I & II.
On May 1, 2010 at 2350 hours, Barrett Police were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at the Pocono Bible Church in Mountainhome. Jesse L. Flood, 27 of Pocono Summit showed signs of being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.
On April 22, 2010, Barrett Police conducted a routine traffic stop which led to the apprehension of a fugitive from justice wanted in Alabama. After police stopped the vehicle for no state inspection they learned the operator of the vehicle, David D. Bodine, 55 of Mountainhome is a wanted person.
On April 19, 2010 at 2300 hours, Barrett Police were investigating a suspicious vehicle complaint on Mill Creek Road and Brinkers Bridge, Canadensis. Travis Swartz, 18, of Cresco was charged with possession of marijuana and underage drinking.
On April 16, 2010 at 2300 hours, Barrett Township Police observed a vehicle parked in the middle of Lower Seese Hill Road obstructing traffic. James J. Magrosky, 29, of Canadensis showed signs of being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.
On March 15, 2010 Barrett Township Police arrested Aris William Zangakis, 18 of Reeders, PA after school officials at Pocono Mountain Academy in Cresco discovered Zangakis in possession of drugs.
On January 26, 2010 police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Golf Drive in Canadensis.
On November 09, 2009, William Scott Ritter Jr., 47 yrs old, of Delmar, NY was arrested on a warrant issued by Barrett Township Police Department for sexual and internet related offenses.
